What is Mensa? Northwest Region Local Contacts Events Diary Email Groups How Do I Join? British Mensa |
Diary of Meetings and EventsThe social side of Mensa is founded on member organised events. An event can be anything from a meeting in a local pub, to visiting places of interest, attending concerts, throwing parties, or romping across mountains & fells. Most of these events are announced in the what's on pages of the monthly Mensa Magazine, although there are often other things going on that have been arranged after the copy deadline for the magazine. Brief notices for some last minute events will be found on this website - but others will be arranged by word of mouth at other meetings, and/or announced on the M-Northwest email group. Remember, if you have ideas for meetings and events, then please come along and discuss the possibilities with your nearest Local Secretary or any other meeting host. In addition, members of some SIGs (Special Interest Groups) organise alternative (and more specialised) meetings & events. Most notable for this are PARTY SIG and RAMSIG. Below is a brief summary of meetings in the Northwest. Full details and contact information can be found for most of them within the pages of the Mensa Magazine. Extra detailed information for these, and for meetings not in the magazine (ie. arranged at short notice), can be obtained by logging on to the member-only pages - and/or will be announced on the M-Northwest email group.
