What is the Northwest Region?
For ease of organisation, British Mensa is divided into Regions. On the left you can see the area covered by the Northwest region (shown in yellow). It includes Cumbria, Lancashire, Merseyside, Greater Manchester, Cheshire, and the Isle of Man.
Announcements for meetings and other events held in this region are grouped together within the pages of the monthly Mensa Magazine for easy reference.
Mensa Members from anywhere in the UK (and the rest of the World) are welcome to attend meetings held in the region, just as members who live in the Northwest are free to attend meetings both here and anywhere else.
Remember, there are many different types of meeting - all of which suit a variety of tastes. By a sampling a variety of meetings, you will find that you get to know a larger number of members, and can more easily decide which meetings suit your own particular preferences.
The Northwest has its own monthly newsletter, entitled NOW, which is
