TAPAS by David Mitchell

A delicious selection of characters search for true love, with the help of Spanish food and the internet. Moving between cyber space and ‘Viva Espana’ Spanish-style restaurant, ‘Tapas’ offers a glimpse into the fragmented and surprising world of 21st century courtship.

David Mitchell has been writing comedy since leaving university in 2005, and was shortlisted for the BBC ‘Recorded for Training purposes’ competition in 2006. Since then he has completed a masters degree in philosophy and is currently planning to do a PhD in the same subject.'

SPIRIT CLINIC by David Bolton

When life take a turn for the weird, it’s time to make a visit to the Spirit Clinic.

David Bolton has hosted monthly meetings of Manchester Comedy Writers Group for the last three years, whilst honing his own comedy scriptwriting skills. His work has been performed in such diverse places as Bristol, the Warrington Pyramid, and the Leicester Comedy Festival. He also has a strong interest in theatre, and has appeared in studio shows at Oldham Coliseum.

DOMESTIC BLISS by Roy Knowles

Family life can be repetitive and uninspiring, just like daytime television. Every so often though, it may both throw up a few surprises.

Roy Knowles is a member of the writing groups at Oldham Coliseum and the Royal Exchange Manchester. One of his earlier comic short pieces was rated top in an audience poll at Oldham Coliseum's Wordsmith Festival.

DOUBLE TROUBLE by Jenny Roche

As different as Poundland and Tesco, non identical twins Marj and Kate can’t live with, or without one another. They have sibling rivalry down to a fine art and no matter how hard each of them (particularly Marj) tries to be independent, their inter dependence always reasserts itself.

Jenny Roche’s comedy material has been broadcast on radio and TV and has been performed on stage and by stand-up comics. She has also written articles on comedy writing and is the author of ‘Teach Yourself Comedy Writing’

KAZI KING by Laurence Pickford

Rochdale toilet attendant, Dennis, has been the king of the kazi for 11 years, but now there is a threat to his crown from new Area Manager, Gloria Nuttall, who has big plans for a major refurbishment which leads to conflict and a clash of egos. Loo brushes are raised, bog rolls are tossed and disinfectant flows by the bucketful. This is war!

Laurence Pickford is an actor, stand-up comic and scriptwriter who's love of comedy has led him to write and star in his own sitcom. His ambition is to keep writing and performing.
